We are always on the lookout for eco-friendly lighting solutions that look great and Eco-Luz by Varaluz really hits the mark. Their lights are made from recycled steel (70% or greater recycled steel content – wow) and glass to reclaimed wood.
Hand-forged Lighting
Every bit as important as the quality of the materials in their products is the ability of their craftsmen. All items are hand-forged by Filipino ironworkers using old fashioned methods like heat from fire pits, hammers and anvils. Although wrought iron may be much heavier than the metal tubing so commonly used in today’s lighting products, it’s also infinitely more durable—and elegant. Every iron-containing Varaluz product has been shaped by hand in this way.
